THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2023 RX AND 2022 RX

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2023 RX AND 2022 RX

We know you have been patiently waiting and the time has come.  The Lexus RX is getting a full redesign for 2023 with improvements in styling, tech and engine options that will excite longtime enthusiasts.

As one of the top contenders in the highly-competitive luxury crossover segment, the RX 350 continues to be the best-selling Lexus vehicle in the line-up and a top pick for Edmonton drivers. Want to know what distinguishes the 2023 RX from the previous year's model? We break down the main differences for you.

NEW ENGINE CHOICES FOR A NEW YEAR

Edmonton drivers have a choice between four RX engines: a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder, two hybrid four-cylinder options and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The RX 350 offers buyers 275 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque while the hybrid model gives drivers 246 hp and 233 lb-ft, but it makes up for the slightly smaller power push with an impressive fuel economy that gets you  7.1L/100 km.

If performance is a top priority for you, the RX500h has a 2.4-litre turbo four combined with an electric motor that puts out an impressive 367 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Equipped with AWD and an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, the RX 500h is as sporty as it is powerful.

NEW & IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY

Like every model released in the 2023 Lexus line-up, the RX will include the latest version of Lexus’ infotainment system. Upgrade to a 14” display screen and enjoy all the convenience of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Use Lexus Connect freely while on the road with simple voice commands: turn up the music, plug in an address, turn down the head and more. The 2023 Lexus RX will also feature the new Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.

This includes Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, Intersection Support and a new feature of Motorcycle Detection; All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with new Curve Speed Management (DRCC); Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA); and Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS). You can also now add Advanced Park which makes parallel parking easier.

A FRESHENED NEW LOOK

The 2023 RX is sporting a new chiselled body design. Central to the new look are the new grille and integrated headlamps. The hood is also longer and the entire look is rounded out with 19-inch wheels that feature a dark gray machined finish and colour-keyed fenders.

The powerful new RX500h gets new 21-inch wheels and its GA-K platform shows off a lower centre of gravity, lower curb weight and smoother handling.

Whether the 2023 RX 350 is grabbing your eye or the new and beautiful RX 500h has you excited, our team at Lexus South Pointe is here to help. These new SUVs are expected to go fast with our guests already make reservations. If you are interested in selecting and ordering yours while they are still available, please head here.
