For enthusiasts seeking high-performance, the 2.4L turbocharged hybrid powertrain is a standout option. The TX 350 AWD features a refined 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 engine for elevated driving dynamics, while the exclusive F SPORT Performance TX 500h boasts a 2.4L turbocharged Parallel Hybrid system. Notably, the TX 550h+ DIRECT4 AWD plug-in hybrid combines the potency of a 3.5L V6 engine with the innovation of DIRECT4 AWD – an industry-first for Lexus. The DIRECT 4 AWD system achieves a quick linear response on the self-charging hybrid model. The DIRECT 4 force distribution changes according to vehicle speed, acceleration, steering angle sensor and driver input, to control the front-to-rear ratio distribution.
