The highly-anticipated 2022 Lexus NX will soon be arriving at Lexus South Pointe and we are expecting it to be the best NX model yet. The all-new NX was designed to embody the future of luxury by embracing electrification, powerful design, intuitive technology, and boundless utility.

 

This post will introduce you to the luxury and performance promised with the all-new enhancements of the 2022 NX. From four exciting powertrain options, a newly developed multimedia system, an enhanced safety system, and elite interior features, the 2022 Lexus NX is fully embracing a new era for luxury vehicles.

 

 

A Powerful Exterior Design

 

The exterior of the 2022 Lexus NX was engineered to emit a feeling of power to those approaching the luxury crossover vehicle. An updated grille pattern and frame at the front create a stronger integrated feel.

 

To complement this strong impression, L-shaped daytime running lights (DRL) frame the top. You can also opt for the optional three-projector headlamps that offer balance with a more subdued impression.

At the rear, the brand’s L emblem has been replaced by an all-new unified LEXUS logo. The full-width blade rear lamp and L-shaped combination lamps enhance the NX’s unique expression.

 

A variety of fresh NX colours are available for Guests to choose from, including Nori Green Pearl, Cloudburst Gray, and Grecian Water.

Your Choice of Exciting Powertrains

 

Guests can choose from four different powertrains for their all-new 2022 Lexus NX: 350h, 450h+, 350, and 250.

The Lexus NX 350h brings powerful performance that will illustrate Lexus’s leadership in hybrid vehicles.
The 350h comes equipped with a D4-S fuel injection 2.5-litre 4-cylinder gasoline engine, paired with two high-torque electric drive motor-generators. This offers 239 horsepower, and a manufacturer-estimated field consumption of 6.5 L/100 km.

 

The NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) is a first for Lexus. The newly developed, high-capacity lithium ion battery delivers a manufacturer-estimated 58km range on electric power only, and can reach its maximum charge in approximately two-and-a-half hours.
Paired with a 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder engine, this plug-in hybrid has an estimated 6.2 second 0-100 km/h time.

The newly developed design of the NX 350 has a lower centre of gravity, which allows a higher horsepower of 275 from the 2.4-litre turbo gas engine, and 317 lb of torque.
Experience the feel of a performance vehicle in NX 350 with the new 8-speed transmission. The all-new electronically controlled, full-time AWD system will deliver a confident and sporty driving experience.

 

Finally, the NX 250 rounds out the options for Guests with a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre 4-cylinder gas engine with start/stop functionality. This AWD model offers an estimated 203 horsepower and 184 lb of torque.

All-New Lexus Interface

 

The 2022 Lexus NX comes fully equipped with the new North American-developed Lexus Interface multimedia system. The driver-centred cockpit features a standard 9.8-inch touchscreen for intuitive technology right at your fingertips. Or maximize your experience with the optional 14-inch touchscreen.

 

Lexus Interface also includes a new Virtual Assistant designed to be the primary way you interact with your Lexus’ multimedia system.
The voice-first approach allows occupants an interactive experience to access features such as navigation, media, phone, and certain vehicle settings like climate control and window operation.

 

Your smartphone is now an extension of your driving experience with the Lexus App. Users can personalize their driving settings in the User Profile feature, and those settings will be retained in the cloud and accessible in other Lexus Interface-equipped vehicles.
The User Profile also gives you the ability to lock or unlock, and start or stop your Lexus through your smartphone when it’s within Bluetooth proximity.

Enhanced Safety System

 

Lexus has all passengers in mind with the latest Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. Have peace of mind while driving with features such as:

• Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist
• Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking
• Right/Left Turn Oncoming Pedestrian Detection/Braking
• Oncoming Vehicle Detection
• Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management

The 2022 Lexus NX will also have additional safety features including:

• Pre-Collision System
• Adaptive High-beam System (Lexus First in Canada)
• Road Sign Assist

Also included in the NX is the all-new Digital Latch system, which opens doors smoothly at the touch of a button. Safe Exit Assist scans the NX’s surroundings and alerts occupants to avoid accidental contact with vehicles and cyclists when exiting the vehicles.

Luxury Inside and Out

 

The 2022 Lexus NX delivers on the brand’s well-known interior cabin noise reduction, with new enhancements made to reduce road noise and exterior distractions.
This peaceful driving experience can be optimized with the optional feature of Thematic Ambient Illumination, which immerses the NX interior in your choice from 14 themes, including Rain Forest, Waterfall, and Sunset.

Comfort is prioritized within the 2022 NX with newly-designed standard heated front seats and optional heated rear seats. Experience optimal head and legroom throughout the interior.
All occupants throughout the vehicle can also enjoy the view with the panoramic moonroof, brand new to the NX. With the push of a button, its smooth gliding opening and closing provides easy stargazing or extra airflow.

F SPORT Handling

Available in both the NX 350 and NX 450h+, the F SPORT Handling model provides Guests a sporty feel that is only amplified by the Active Variable Suspension (AVS), and front and rear performance dampers.

Exclusive to the F SPORT family models are several exterior colour options, including Redline, Ultra White, Cadmium Orange, and Ultra Sonic Blue Mica 2.0.
