Size Matters in Your SUV

 

All three models offer optimal room for up to five passengers. The RX is the largest available model, with 44.1 inches of legroom for front-row passengers, and 38.0 inches in the back row. In the rear, the RX has 16 cubic feet of cargo space, or lay the second row seats down for 32.7 cubic feet of space.

 

You can also upgrade to the RX 350L for seven-passenger capacity.

The NX has a sleeker design, offering a spacious cabin with 42.8 inches of legroom in the front row, and 36.1 inches in the second row. 17.7 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear converts to 54.5 cubic feet with the second row laid flat.

 

Meanwhile, the Lexus UX has the smallest offering of space at 42.0 inches of legroom in the front and 33.1 inches in the second row. The UX also offers 17.1 cubic feet of cargo space.

Performance Capabilities

All three models have available options in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive. Guests also have the option of upgrading to Lexus’s signature F SPORT trim, or a hybrid powertrain for enhanced efficiency.

 

The NX is offered in four different powertrains, including the NX 350 with a 2.4L turbo engine that offers 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Also available are two efficient hybrid options, including Lexus’s very first plug-in hybrid vehicle, the NX 450h+.

Lexus RX offers three powertrain options: 350, 350L, and 450h. With a 3.5L V6 engine, the RX boasts a standard 295 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque.

 

The base-level Lexus UX 200 is powered by a 2.0L in-line 4-cylinder engine that offers 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. Guests can also opt for the hybrid UX 250h model, which holds a 181 horsepower 2.0L 4-cylinder engine.

Technology Features

 

The NX offers the largest multimedia display, with a standard 9.8-inch touchscreen or an option 14-inch touchscreen. An 8-speaker Premium Sound System comes standard, or an optional 10-speaker system.

 

The NX also comes equipped with Lexus’s all-new Virtual Assistant, a voice-first approach to accessing navigation, media, phone, and certain vehicle settings.

In the RX, Guests have the option of the standard 8-inch display or the optional 12.3-inch high-res, split-screen display. Connect your phone through Bluetooth or one of 6 USB ports, and stream music to the RX’s 9-speaker Premium Audio System, or optimize your RX’s sound system with the 12-speaker option including a subwoofer.

 

The UX comes with a standard 7-inch touchscreen, or an available 10.3-inch display option. It comes standard with Lexus’s 6-speaker Premium Sound System, but Guests can upgrade to the 8-speaker option.

 

All three models also come equipped with backup cameras, push-button start/stop, Lexus App capabilities, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Guests can also choose an optional wireless charger for seamless connectivity.

Safety Features

 

The Lexus NX is equipped with the latest Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, now including features like Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Adaptive High-Beam System, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

 

Both the RX and UX are equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0, which includes Road Sign Assist, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, and Intelligent High Beams.

 

Pricing

 

The Lexus RX is the brand’s top-selling model, starting at $57,250. The NX follows close behind at a starting price of $44,600, and as Lexus’s smallest SUV, the UX is priced starting at $38,450.
